Early detection is the best tool against breast cancer; our goal is to encourage and enable women to enter the health care system earlier, thereby improving the possibility of early detection and the hope of saving lives. In addition to addressing the need for mammograms among uninsured and underinsured women, the Linda Creed Breast Cancer Organization has identified certain communities that need additional support in breast health education and outreach. With the help of community volunteers and a "train the trainer" model, Linda Creed provides outreach to the African American and to lesbian, bisexual and transgender persons. These programs are unique and unlike any other offered by local breast cancer organizations.
