Linda Creed Breast Cancer Organization provides mammograms and diagnostic tests at periodic screening days. Even with the Affordable Care Act, women “fall through the cracks” and need our services. Underinsured and uninsured women who may not meet guidelines for government support, e.g., PA Breast and Cervical Cancer Early Detection Program - PA-BCCEDP and Cancer Education & Early Detection (CEED) in NJ may apply for Linda Creed-sponsored mammograms and tests.
We help women navigate the PA-BCCEDP program if she is eligible because it transitions a woman diagnosed with breast cancer into the Breast and Cervical Cancer Treatment Program, a Medicaid program for woman with income at or below 240% of the Federal Poverty Guideline. For details click here.
Linda Creed Breast Cancer screenings follow the recommendations of the American Medical Association that call for a clinical breast exam, a mammogram and breast health education. We were the first organization to offer free screening mammograms to uninsured or under-insured women in the Delaware Valley. Since its inception, Linda Creed Breast Cancer Organization has screened over 11,000 women.
Linda Creed Breast Cancer provides diagnostic mammograms and ultrasounds for women screened in our programs – and for women of any age with a need for immediate evaluation. For a required biopsy, we refer patients (e.g., to PA-BCCEDP) or a hospital partner uses its own funds to support the next steps.
