“I want to be able to pay it forward.”
The Foundation receives no government funding. The organization’s $300,000+ yearly operating budget comes from generous donations to fundraising campaigns, funds from granting agencies and public/private partnerships and private and very creative fundraisers all over the region.
To date, more than 12 hospitals have partnered with Linda Creed in a mammography program that has screened over 12,000 women. In 2019, the organization provided or participated in numerous educational events, reaching more than 3,100 people with an encouraging message about early detection and treatment options for breast cancer.
We have two major fundraisers annually - one in the Philadelphia area and one in the Poconos - and several growing LCBCO-sponsored events throughout the year. Many community groups, schools and individually-engaged members host “mini-fundraisers.” Foundation support includes Independence Blue Cross Foundation, Pfizer and Chester County Fund for Women and Girls among others.
